Family Conflict
Families are composed of many individuals with their own unique motivations and personality traits, some admirable and some not so much. Blended families can exponentially add to the conflicts and opposing opinions. Hurts from previous failed relationships can exacerbate the hurt and passive aggression within the new family system. Some clinical experts suggest that 70% of family members are frustrated, and difficulties are simmering under the surface for most.
It is no surprise that rebellion or discontent among family members (especially when blended) can become quite destructive and stressful, often robbing the family of loving interaction and creating anger, conflict and disappointment instead . Add to the mix all of the life transitions that occur in family groups, and it is no wonder conflict results. Typically, poor communication and aggressiveness set in, and therapy is a good remedy. |
